ABOUT US

Rural Organization for Social Service (ROSS) is a non-profit making, non governmental, non sectarian and non political organization. ROSS is secular in nature irrespective of caste, creed and religion. During the last 25 years. ROSS has taken up various measures to develop and strengthen grass people, Community Based Organization (CBOs), development of women’s organization, formation of SHG groups with micro saving micro insurance etc.

Rural Organization for Social Service (ROSS) is also associated with Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise for conducting different training program like Industrial Motivation Campaign, Entrepreneurship Development Programs. Entrepreneur Skill Development Program since from the last 03 years. ROSS is also associated with Rashtriya Gramin Vikash Nidhi (RGVN) for formation of CBO’s for the improvement of the economic condition of the rural poor people.

What We Do?

Health Vulnerability

We provide free Medical treatment and Aid for the ST, SC and poor people living in rural area through mobile dispensary/ten bedded hospital etc.

EDUCATION FOR POOR CHILDREN

We provide free education for the children belonging to ST and poor families through establishing of Primary, Secondary and Higher School.

PROMOTING HUMAN RIGHTS

We undertake measures for the shelter and self-employment of the disabled, street children and drug abuse people.

Women Empowerment

We desire to plan to setting up of employment & income generating training cum production units for women, for working women hostel & buildings, day care centre and awareness generation programme.

Sustainable NRM practices

We have undertaken schemes for the promotion of socio-economic, cultural, and educational condition of the weaker sections of the society and especially of the ST people living in the state of Assam.

Technology Transfer

We render training in modern technology to the students belonging ST/SC/OBC/minorities and other weaker section of the society.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

We provide free coaching for the educated youths and girls belonging to weaker sections of the society in order to enable them to complete with their counterparts in other states.

Natural disaster Development

We render assistance to the people affected by natural calamities like flood, storm, earthquake, epidemic disease etc.
